The Faroese Public Health Plan

On April 21st in 2006 a public health plan was presented for the first time in the Faroese Parliament.

The purpose with the public health plan was to highlight the importance of a good health, and to present what we have to do to improve our health status. A health promoting view should be presented in all aspects of the society.

A well working public health work consists of both campaigns preventing illnesses and promoting health. It is presented in the public health plan, how the health situation can be improved, and goals are set on how to improve this situation.
